| DAY 1: |

Depart Rome for Luxor (via Cairo), the ancient Thebes,
for millennia one of the biggest ancient Egypt spiritual,
intellectual and economical hotbed. |
| DAY 2: |
Luxor |
| |
Passage by boat to the western bank of the Nile River,
where the royal necropolis of Thebes rises, built among
the desert hills. Visit the Valley of the Kings and Queens,
the Deir El Bahri Mortuary Temple built by Queen Hatchepsut,
the Colossus of Memnon. |
| DAY 3: |
Luxor |

Visit the monumental complexes of Luxor and Karnak,
and in particular the temples dedicated to the cult of
the sun god Amon-Ra, supreme god and source of legitimate
between the pharaohs. In the afternoon depart by flight
to Cairo. |
| DAY 4: |
Cairo |
| |
Visit the Egyptian Museum that hosts the richest Egyptian
and Greek-Roman antiquity collection other then the pharaohs
Tut-Ank-Amon’s marvelous treasury. Visit old Cairo:
the Coptic district, St. George Church and St. Sergio
Church, risen on the cave in which the Holy Family stayed
during their journey into Egypt. |
| DAY 5: |

Depart towards the desert, to visit, at the Natrun Valley,
the Monasteries of Wadi El-Natrun. According to the tradition,
the apostle Mark evangelized the Egyptians around 40A.D.
Caused by the Roman persecutions the Egyptian Christianity
hid itself in the desert, giving life to the cenobitic
monasticism. |
| DAY 6: |
Cairo |

Visit the Giza Field with the Pyramid of Khufu (also
known as the Pyramid of Cheops), Khafre (or Kephren),
Menkaure (or Mykerinus) and the Great Sphinx. Depart Cairo
by motor coach toward the Sinai, “the desert of
wander”. The biblical denomination evokes for ever
the journey of the Jews, led by Moses, along the valley
known as “the oldest roads of the world”.
Arrive in St. Catherine in the evening. |
| DAY 7: |

Early in the morning, climb Mt. Sinai (2.200mt.), where
God, willing renew the alliance with his favorite people,
gave to Moses the law cut into two stone tablets. After
visiting the Monastery of St. Catherine, depart for Sharm
El Sheikh on the Red Sea, known by the imposing coral
reef and the quantity of fishes and corals on its waters. |

Transfer to Sharm El Sheikh Airport for return flight
to Rome. |
