| DAY 1: |
|

Depart Rome for Tel Aviv. Upon arrival, transfer to
Jaffa. This city is connected to the history of the first
Christian times: here Peter came to resuscitate Tabità
and had the vision in which God invited him to welcome
in the Church also the pagans. Visit the Church of St.
Peter and continue towards the Galilee, to Nazareth known
as “the flower of Galilee”. |
| DAY 2: |

Start the day visiting the Church of the Annunciation
and the New Basilica. Continue to the Kibbutz Lavì,
where the almost 200 members live a community experience
like the first Christians: they work the land; they have
all the valuable things in common and pray every day in
the Synagogue. Proceed towards Lake of Tiberias’
region to visit the ancient synagogue and home of Simon
Peter in Capernaum. Depart to Jericho via the Judean Desert,
the most ancient city known today. |
| DAY 3: |

In the afternoon depart for Qumran, where in 1947 were
discovered the manuscripts known today as the “Dead
Sea Scrolls”. Stop at the Dead Sea and enjoy the
experience of floating in its waters. View the desert
of Wadi Kelt and proceed to Bethlehem. |
| DAY 4: |
Bethlehem |

Start the day visiting the Church of the Nativity and
the grotto where Jesus was born. Drive to Jerusalem and
visit the Church of the Holy Sepulchre on top of the Calvary
Hill, located where Jesus was crucified and, not far from
there, where he was buried. Stop at the Western Wall and
proceed to the Yad Vashem – National Memorial and
Museum of the Holocaust. |
| DAY 5: |
Bethlehem |

Visit the community of Neve Shalom, a cooperative village
where Jewish and Palestinians coexist together. Proceed
to Tel Aviv airport for return flight to Rome. |
