Visit the Vatican Museum and then take an escorted tour of the Hidden Treasure of Campo Marzio. Here all the souls that throughout the centuries have made this city a unique place and still an evident today: both sacred and the profane, those who lived a care-free life and those more spiritual men, noblemen and commoners, ancient and modern men. The tour is an adventure through time of ancient Rome to Middle age onto the Renaissance.

Day 3, July 3, 2008 |

Depart Rome for Lourdes. Your pilgrimage begins with a celebration of Eucharist and the Grotto of Apparitions: the “Cachot” (formally used as a jail), where Saint Bernadette lived; and where the blessed Virgin Mary appeared to the 14 year old - Bernadette Soubirous. Balance of the day at leisure to explore the town of Lourdes on your own. Dinner at the hotel.

Day 4, July 4, 2008 |

Participate in the following activities: Stations of the Cross, torchlight procession, starting from the Grotto, procession of the Eucharist with benediction for the sick and visit the famous Lourdes baths. Continue to see the shrines dedicated to Saint Bernadette, including the Basilica of St. Pius X, the world's largest underground church, and the Boly Mill where St. Bernadette was born in 1844. See also the Chapel where she received her First Holy Communion; and the Parish church containing the Font, where she was baptized. Dinner at the hotel.

After breakfast, Holy Mass at the cave of the Apparitions.
Take some time for personal reflections and prayer. Transfer to airport for your flight back to Rome.
